Problem description
In older versions of Asterisk 1.2.x there was a bug that sometimes produced a gap of about a second in the beginning of your call, which can be very annoying if you don't hear the greeting and the other persons name.
This bug seems to have vanished from newer versions of Asterisk 1.2.x.
If you experience this bug, update your Asterisk to the latest version of your branch (1.2 or 1.4) and do a firmware update on all phones to the latest firmware.
