Feature description
The Call Transfer feature provides the ability to transfer calls from one phone to another phone. There are three types of Call Transfer:
- attended call transfer means putting a caller on hold, speaking to another person (i.e. to ask something) and transferring this caller to the other phone only on request. Only this type of transfer allows you to get back the call.
- unattended call transfer means to accept a call and transfer it to another phone, but without announcing it.
- call deflection means directly transfering a caller to another phone without answering the call first.
Configure Asterisk
No configuration steps are neccessary to enable any type of call transfer within the Asterisk.
Configure snom phones

Note: The snom 300 does not have soft keys. In order to utilize the functionality on the snom 300 one of the programmable keys must have been assigned the key event "F_DEFLECT".
Note: Turning on the setting "Disable Deflection" will also disable Call Deflect. When this setting is turned on, the soft transfer key will not appear.
